Physical Appearance:
Junpei appears to be a typical teenage, Japanese boy from the late 2000s albeit on the slightly taller side. He has dark buzzcut hair, grayish-blue eyes and a goatee which he prides himself on. He is often seen with both of his hands on his belt, except while wielding a two-handed sword.
At the time he is taken from he is in his black Gekkoukan High jacket along with a blue collared shirt as well as dark pants and black dress shoes. Junpei also sports his American-fetishism with a blue baseball cap, silver necklace, and chain wallet on his pants.
Lastly, strapped to a side holster within his jacket is his evoker- a realistic looking, modern, model gun.

Junpei is probably one of the friendliest people you could meet, always greeting people with a 'sup dude' and offering an introduction to all. It is not often that people get on his bad side and he tends to reserve judgment on others, assuming they are decent until otherwise proven. Junpei also happens to be one of the most boisterous people you will ever meet. He is known to his friends as one laid-back individual and can often be seen relaxing in one place or another, people watching, and even more likely, girl watching. His mind is often in the gutter, something often seen when he is caught eavesdropping on others and assumes the worst. This tendency to jump to conclusions and rush into things is often what gets Junpei into trouble in both his social life and when fighting the Shadows.
Then there are the parts of Junpei that others only see if they are member of SEES and close to him. Junpei is an insecure individual who masks his feelings with his slang and friendly nature. He is often jealous of his friends because they all have things they excel at. He envies Yukari for being popular, Mitsuru for being intelligent and rich, Akihiko for being good with the ladies without trying, Minato for being a better fighter and leader than he feels he could be, and even spent some time being jealous of Kuro the dog. It was pretty humiliating when even a dog could summon a persona!
The one thing Junpei fears the most at the moment is losing what little power he does have. Despite his insecurities he can easily put on his facade of happiness because he is pretty happy at the moment. For the first time ever he feels like he has the power to do something, to change the world, even if he hates the fact that he will never be thanked or recognized for what he has done. The day he became a member of SEES and accepted his evoker was one of the happiest days of his life. He had new friends, a place to sleep, and had managed to distance himself from his alcoholic father.
Recently Junpei has become worried over what Strega said. He does not want to lose his power, his persona, and sometimes wonders why he is really fighting after all.
